This is quite interesting. 
I'm not sure that many would take the advice here, but then you could interpret 'pray' to be many things. Perhaps the person could shore their confidence up before acting, which would be similar to praying, I guess.
It's somewhat amusing to think about someone praying and then kicking ass the next second.
